Was a romantic place to stay near to the centre of ella and restaurants. It had a great and lovely location on a hill.

The staff here was extremely helpful and caring, providing us with essentials like an electric kettle, ironing set, and work desk in our room, along with a comfortable bed and a wake-up service.

Everything was good; we recommend this apartment. We had a very comfortable stay in Ella close to a hill and a bus stop and restaurants. The breakfasts was tasty and marvellous — EXCELLENT food. Staff was helpful and caring, helped us with everything. Unbeatable setting in the centre. Bar Cafe Ufo was 77 miles away.

Overall, it’s super base for exploring Ella tourist places. The breakfast is simple, with a nice view. The room is amazing complete on the first level, can find everything you need. People who work there are amiable and caring...

I absolutely loved my stay at Sudumal Cottage! The value for money was exceptional, and the room was incredibly comfortable with beautiful views. The location was perfect, just far enough away from the busy center of town to feel peaceful, but still close enough to easily explore. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent hospitality throughout my stay.

my stay at a guesthouse in ella was great! the beautiful garden made me feel like i was in a jungle. the cottage had a cozy terrace and a comfortable bed. the sri lankan breakfast was delicious. the helpful host provided useful information and even gave me curry leaves and powder as a gift. highly recommend!

Great location near all the attractions and shops, making it easy to explore the area. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and accommodating, taking care of all our needs. The room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Plus, the free cooking session was a wonderful experience where my partner got to learn how to prepare a delicious Sri Lankan dinner.

The cleanliness of the room and public areas could have been improved. There were some dirty areas and stains that could have been attended to.

Despite the challenging stairs, the location of the hotel is ideal for young families. It is situated close to restaurants and offers beautiful walks in the hills. being in the center of town makes it convenient for exploring the area. the hotel is conveniently located next to the bus stop, allowing for easy transportation.

My stay at Sudumal was a delightful one. I spent one night at this beautiful cottage and was warmly welcomed by Nimali, the friendly and kind landlady. The room was spacious, clean, and had a balcony with a breathtaking view of the mountains and lush greenery. The cottage is situated in a serene and secluded area, yet conveniently close to the main road. Nimali prepared delicious homemade dinner and breakfast, and the prices were reasonable. The hospitality and service provided by Nimali and her family surpassed that of any 5-star hotel. I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The room at Sudumal Cottage was perfect for me! It had a cozy seating area where I could relax after a long day of exploring. The kitchen with a dining area was a bonus, allowing me to cook and enjoy meals at my own convenience. The private bathroom, complete with free toiletries, made me feel right at home.

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the tile/marble floor in the double room. But hey, that's just my opinion!

The garden views were absolutely splendid, felt like I was Frodo going to Mordor. They even had a bike rental, so I could pretend I was Lance Armstrong.

Showers were colder than the gaze I gave the gardener for not trimming the hedges properly. Smh.
